Intellimouse Issue W/kernel 2.6.15.1

I am haveing a odd problem with my intellimouse explorer it seems after I slackpkg and upgraded all my software, and then re-installed a new kernel plus upgraded my nvidia drivers. ( Next time ill go a bit slower) My mouse's buttons are all out of wack. Heres the directions i followed intially http://dorward.me.uk/linux/mouse/#imwheel. Anyone else haveing a problem? I am running the latest of everything drivers, kernel ,X. It seems that my modmap is not woking because my scroll is changeing pages and my side buttons act like my middle button. I removed imwheel rc still no joy?????

Try changing Zaxismapping to either "4 5" or "6 7", depends on what you have.

Then you can change your number of Buttons in your xorg.conf and see if that helps.

See LinuxQuestions.org>HCL>Hardware Compatibility List>I/O Devices>Microsoft There is a listing for MS IntelliMouse Explore USB/PS2 showing slackware /etc/X11/xorg.conf mouse section with 2.6x kernel. Hopefully your new kernel has all the modules needed for mouse to work. lsusb, lspci and lsmod will help. Good luck
