Installing X on a Presario 6000

I'm trying to install X on my Compaq Presario 6000 6325cl. I e-mailed a representative at Compaq asking what video card came with it. He replied:

The Presario does not have an external video card. It comes with
integrated "Intel Extreme graphics".

So my question is, how do I install X with a "Intel Extreme graphics". I hate Compaq.

Try loading X (startx) and see if it runs. Slack 10 comes with a default X setup which should work.

It would seem the Presario 6325cl
has an Intel 845 video driver.
Intel has a download page if it is not something already included in Slack. I would check the X configuration for an Intel 845 option before installing the Intel driver.
