Hi, I have linux installed on one partition and I need to install slackware on the other one. The problem is that I have no CD rom .. And it is not repairable.. So, how do I install from the harddisk without any cdrom at all ?.. I have all the iso:s but how do I boot them and is there any good img/iso handler for linux such as "daemon tools" for windows? I serached the internet but didn't find any great answers.
Maybe it is just to copy the CD to the new partition ? and boot it with an bootdisk ?
Okay, Well.. I suppose you can't tell me how to do that. I have aldready partionized the drive. So how do I mount an ISO file to that partition ? Thanks
bash-3.00$ su -c 'mount -v -o ro,loop=/dev/loop0 /tmp/image.iso /mnt/iso/'
Password:
mount: going to use the loop device /dev/loop0
/dev/loop0: No such device or address
mount: failed setting up loop device
bash-3.00$
/dev/loop0 is present:
Code:
bash-3.00$ la /dev/|grep loop
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 7, 0 Sep 29 2005 loop0
bash-3.00$
