Installing from hard disk drive

Well, i looked up for some similar thread, but i didn't found anything that would match my problem....
So, i installed the first disk of Slack 10 from HDD..... but how do i install kde and gnome? i unpack the iso's and enter the kde/gnome directory, and run ./install-packages... there's a menu where i pick up the needed packages but when i press ok nothing happens..... it just drops the menu and that's all.....
can you help me....

I think what you want to do is just pop in the cd w/ kde+gnome on it, cd to the kde directory on the cdrom, then start installpkg and tell it you want to install pkgs from the current dir. It will then give you a list to check/uncheck. Repeat for gnome.
