xf86config command not found
I have installed Slackware 10.2 on an IBM netvista with a Sony LCD monitor. The installation is up and running in the consol mode but when I tried startx I got the message "Out of scan range - 48.2KHz / 85Hz". I assumed that I needed to configure the monitor so, as root, I entered the command
xf86config. The reply was "command not found". The monitor has worked fine with a number of other Linux distributions.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance for any help.
