X11 no screen error


Hello.

I do not know the exact error, but the error goes like there is no screen, I checked everything that i know. But, get this, when i boot my computer from the install cd on my root file system, the gui starts, aka startx. thanks

what do you mean by that?
anyway, i think there is a default xorg.conf, but it might not work for all hardware. so have you run xorgconfig? have you monitor/graphics card spec ready.
