X Windows Reconfigurations

How the heck do you re-config X windows with in Slackware 10, and using the xfce4 as the default WM? I cannot find eitehr xf86config or XF86Setup.

I desire to change my display, since the initial installation is only using about half of the possible desktop. PLus my resolution bites. The laptop I'm using can support 1024x768 in 16 bit, but I cannot get the screen to expand to the full screen.

Any help would be great!

Thanks,

Since Slackware 10, the X server is X.org instead of XFree86, so you should run xorgconfig (the config file is /etc/X11/xorg.conf)

To select the default WM use xwmconfig as root.

xorgconfig is in the /usr/X11/bin directory, but it should be in your path, so you should be able to just type in xorgconfig.

Got it.. Good to go now. Just trying to figure out the "setting a DISPLAY variable" so I can load evolution successfully.

Thanks,
