X SLOW after HD upgrade
I just upgraded my old Dell Dimension 8400 to be a seed box and put two 1.5TB Western Digital "Green" HD's in it to replace the 160GB factory drive.
After re-installing Slackware on one of the new drives, xfce runs very choppy. I will click an icon and it takes 10 seconds to open or I will be navigating a web page and it will freeze temporarily. It's very sporadic and frequent, but not constant.
Is this because of the larger HD? I haven't mounted the second 1.5TB drive yet, and I have the one partitioned as the following:
4GB swap
10GB /
10GB /usr
Rem. /home
