Wow, I got Google Earth on Slack

Using Wine-0.9.5 that I got from LinuxPackages.

Works great, except the fonts on the map are a little too spaced and the render view stays on top of everything else. It doesn't run quite as well as it does on Windows, but it's very usable.

I just followed the instructions from here. It was very easy to do, just ignore the Gentoo specific stuff.

Fun fun fun!

Thanks for sharing. It seems to work also on Debian
Does anybody know how to make this work through a proxy?

It seems as it only uses the settings of IE, which I really don't want to install
