Smile Wireless networking error, system still manages to connect.

Hi, all

I have read Alien BOB's very intuitive guide on how to set up networking in Slackware (I am using 13.1 64 bit edition). So far so good, everything worked fine and I am connected, as a matter of fact I am writing this from my Slack box. But there is a slight problem, while trying to connect I get the following error message (actually here I show an output of trying to restart the wlan interface), despite that it still connects. I don't know if this is a major problem but it slows my boot process quite nasty so I will appreciate some tips of how to solve it.

Code:
bash-4.1# /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1 wlan0_restart
/etc/rc.d/rc.inet1:  wlan0 information: 'Any ESSID'
Error for wireless request "Set Nickname" (8B1C) :
    SET failed on device wlan0 ; Operation not supported.
Polling for DHCP server on interface wlan0:
dhcpcd: version 5.2.2 starting
dhcpcd: wlan0: broadcasting for a lease
...
Here is my /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf
Code:
IFNAME[4]="wlan0"
IPADDR[4]=""
NETMASK[4]=""
DHCP_HOSTNAME="Koriban"
USE_DHCP[4]="yes"
WLAN_WPA[4]="wpa_supplicant"
WLAN_WPADRIVER[4]="wext"
PS: I forgot to mention that I use wpa_supplicant because the encryption of the wireless access point is WPA1.

Cheers!

You have a broadcom wifi and they always throw those errors. Take them as a sign things are proceeding normally.
