Altho Slack is complete different than ubuntu xD
SO i spend like 7 hrs of studying guides so i could setup it alone.
THe only think that i achieved is that wiping complete the /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf
xD
So i had to format 3 times so far!
I dont want to ragequit and throw my pc away from my window, so if someone could gief me some help of how to do it i would appreciate it !
TY!
slackware version: 13.37
Network Controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR928X Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express) (rev 01)
Ethernet Controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR8132 Fast Ethernet (rev c0)
This wireless card should be supported by the ath9k kernel module, ie. you should not need to install anything else for it to work. On the slackware cds there is an /extra directory which has a program called wicd. Install this with the installpkg command and then you will have a gui with which to configure your wireless connections.

PS.before resorting to such drastic measures as reformatting, try asking here first. Even if you wiped out /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf you can reinstall it without reformatting and reinstalling everything. And also in most cases you do not need to edit that file at all.

...saw this after my last post. How did you install slackware? Was it from a cd/dvd?
You can mount your dvd to /mnt/dvd with the command "mount /dev/sr0 /mnt/dvd". If you are using kde it should automount to something like /media/Slackware.
