Where can i find the open office files?


Hi,

i just install the open office in my machine using the installation files from slack builds.

Currently, i need to use java to read open office ods files and i need to find the open office files which i have just installed.

May i know where can i find it?

It should be under /usr/bin or /usr/local/bin. The file names are like oowriter, oocalc e.t.c.

OpenOffice installs in /opt IIRC
But i might be wrong, as ive never used it on Slackware.
See the resulting package. eg tar -ztvf openoffice.org-3.0.1.tgz |grep bin

It will tell in the SlackBuild script, won't it?

Oui, look in the package file:

# most /var/log/packages/<package_name>

tells you where all the files went.
