Vt-d boot error

Hi all,

When Vt-d is enabled I cannot boot into 64current giving the attached output.

Resources conflict found affecting gpio_ch

How can this be fixed? It is normal when this option is disabled.

Thanks

My guess is when you enable virtualization extensions, it maps memory registers used by ACPI system. It's repeatedly asking you if you have ACPI drivers specific to the device rather than using a generic driver for ACPI (which seems to be generating the memory conflict). What kind of device are you working on?

Hello,

Maybe you can try to pass processor.nocst=1 to the kernel as stated here.

However, be careful with the alternative given in this message (ie. acpi_enforce_resources=lax) as it could damage your hardware (I didn't found more infos about that).
