Why do russian Linux forums always remind me of porn sites from the 1990's?

OT: Since november I'm getting hardware not supported by Slackware 14.1. Right now I'm installing -current on a client's HP Pentium laptop, because Slackware 14.1 won't run on it. So 14.2 will be more than welcome here.

Out of curiosity, which parts of hardware are not supported by 14.1?

If it's logged via IP address, then changing your IP address would allow for multiple votes from multiple machines, not counting cellular phones, public IPs, and such. If it was registered voting then yeah fewer issues. If MAC ID + IP + Account, then it's harder to spoof votes.

However, without public logs...
Reaper, so in other words, Lennart is popping around public wifi faster than Santa on Norad. http://www.noradsanta.org/

Slackware64 14.1 choked on this piece of hardware:

Code:
# lspci | grep -i vga
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Atom Processor Z36xxx/Z37xxx Series
Graphics & Display (rev 0e)
Slackware Current seems to manage it nice so far.

This is way OT but I am curious as to why you would be adamant about a new full release when hardware support is all in the kernel, easily upgraded?

@Reaper, apparently I didn't make myself clear. I'm somewhat less concerned with the padding of votes since that is an issue, as you pointed out, that is much harder to control or even see. It is the LOSS of votes that has my head swimming. How can that happen was my question in a previous post, and perhaps more importantly, how can that happen legitimately? .

Interesting this was a response to our kikinovak from the mod. of the poll:

Yesterday, Patrick Volkerding had 910 votes. Today, he's got 858 left, which means he lost 52 votes over night. Did Lennart Poettering write your website's poll code?

Paul Alberto Rufous Mod Kiki Novak • 17 hours ago

Fixed, some cheating was deleted.
