/usr/bin/pgawk?

In 14.1, the sym link for /usr/bin/pgawk is broken. There is no /usr/bin/pgawk-4.1.0 installed.

The 14.1 gawk package does not contain pgawk-4.1.0.

Was pgawk dropped?

Looking at the git repo for gawk, looks like pgawk was removed 2012-12-17. I notice that there is profiling support with the -p and --profile options.

Okay. Long-term then, the Slackware gawk.SlackBuild should be updated by removing line 93:

ln -sf pgawk-$VERSION pgawk
