Updating boot disk to reflect kernel updates

With all the recent kernel updates, this seems to be a good time to ask... How do you update your bootable USB disk, created during the install process, to reflect the new kernel version?

I got caught by this recently when I replaced my hard drive, and then realized the bootable disk no longer worked correctly. I ended up using the install DVD to get LILO reinstalled, but that USB sure would have been easier.

Hello,

As root, type:
/var/log/setup/setup.80.make-bootdisk
or:
pkgtool => Setup and select 80.make-bootdisk

I create a new USB boot stick using the usbboot.img and usbimg2disk.sh files found in the usb-and-pxe-installers directory on my mirror.
