I upgraded to -current today (7/4) in the process I had a problem with libffi. X was looking for libffi.so.4 and -current has libffi.so.6. I created a symlink to .6 from .4 and X seems happy now.

I am not getting all boxes for text on wicd and pidgin suggesting a font was removed that is needed. I did run slackpkg clean-system for the first time in a long time. I did not upgrade the packages that are dependencies for gimp2.8 as they are all higher then the stock packages other than that all packages are stock -current. Any thoughts on what I need to fix here?

I forgot that during the upgrade process I accidentally skipped the .new configuration files. Although none of them were for wicd or pidgin after going back and updating them the problem has gone away. There must have been a new config file for a common dependency.
