Unresolved symbols

OK, i've been trying to configure my ADSL line for five days now. I've learnt a hell of a lot about linux in that time which was my aim to start with. I think i'm really close to solving this one but just can't get over this final hurdle. My problem is this, I have an Accessrunner ADSL WAN adapter which I use to connect to my BT broadband service. I've recompiled my kernel for ppp over atm, i've installed the conexant drivers but when I try and start it up I get unresolved symbol errors in CnxADSL.o. These are the errors:

atm_find_ci
atm_charge
atm_dev_deregister
atm_dev_register
vcc_sklist

I also get a hint below this about a GPL license?

I couldn't have got this far without the help of this forum so i'm hoping you can help me finally get my ADSL connected. Any advice would be appreciated. (Apart from buy a router, that is out of the question.)

edit: I'm using Slack 10 with kernel version 2.4.26

If you need any more info i'll be happy to give it to you.

Save yourself the headache and get a router. Linux has no problems whatsoever with connecting over ethernet and getting an ip address from a router.
