unresolved symbols?


The other day I attempted to compile a kernel "the debian way" using kernel-package but was met with a bunch of problems and an unbootable kernel.

What did I miss that would cause these types of errors?

Here is the output I got when I did the dpkg -i command:

I had to trim out tha majority of my error messages because the post was too long, but it's more of the same thing that's shown here.

What were the complete set of steps you took to compile this kernel?

I followed the steps listed at the link below because this was the first time I'd compiled a kernel using the "debian method"
