unable to graphic login, but text login is OK!

I use Slackware 10.1 and XFCE.

I want to get graphic login by the "id:4:initdefault". After boot without error, I type the right username/passwd in the graphic login prompt and after 2-3 secs dark screen I get the login screen again. This happens with both common user and root.

But I could do successful text login, then startx normally.

My case is a little similar with this one,

I have tried to remove all the scripts in /etc/profile.d, but no help

try xorgcfg to setup your display devices.

I have tried xorgconfig and xorgsetup, XFCE could start normally like before, but the graphic login still has the problem.
