tun device for OpenVPN "disapears" after reboot

Hi there.

I've successfully configured OpenVPN on the server (Slackware 11, kernel: 2.4.33.3).
But I'm having trouble on my client (Slackware 11, kernel 2.6.20.7).
After client reboot I can not connect to the server through OpenVPN it says:
Code:
Sat Jun 16 12:34:55 2007 Note: Cannot open TUN/TAP dev /dev/net/tun: No such file or directory (errno=2)
Sat Jun 16 12:34:55 2007 Note: Attempting fallback to kernel 2.2 TUN/TAP interface
Sat Jun 16 12:34:55 2007 Cannot allocate TUN/TAP dev dynamically
Sat Jun 16 12:34:55 2007 Exiting
But after some time, the tun device magicly appears and OpenVPN works ok(sometimes). Sometimes it doesn't "appear". So the configuration probably is ok because when I can connect it pings the server ok and everything works fine.
So what did I miss?
Oh and the diference is that on the server I manualy compiled OpenVPN and on the Client I used slapt-get to download/install OpenVPN.

PLEASE help because I would need VPN working ASAP.
