Trouble seeing menu text in FL Studio 11 with Wine

Hello everyone, I'm trying to install FL Studio inside of Slackware and I've got everything working. The only problem is that I cannot see the menu options, it's strange. I believe it has something to do with Microsoft TrueType fonts, I looked it up on WineHQ and someone said that you need winetricks-corefonts in order to view the menus. I installed winetricks from slackbuilds.org but I still cannot view the text. I would assume that winetricks-corefonts is part of the base package right? If not where could I find it?

Thanks!

Simon

Nevermind guys, I solved it. Just went on my Windows box and copied the .ttf files for Times New Roman and Arial. Afterwards, I copied them to /usr/share/fonts

Hey, just curious here, I'm also running flstudio11, the directwave pluging doesn't seem to produce any sound and I'm wondering if the same is happening on your setup.

Hey, sorry for the late reply. I tried DirectWave and it seems to work fine for me. Have you always experienced the issue? Are you using any ASIO drivers, etc?

I have never been able to make it work, though I can manage without it, It tick me off at times, slightly, but I think that the new wine version will make it work, I just did a quick google and saw that they made a fix
bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35178

Maybe it will work after an upgrade..
What version of wine are you using?

Couldn't get the asio driver to work, so I gave that up, I'm using version 1.7.6 by the way

I figured out too that we need to paste 'times new Roman.TTF' and 'Ariel.ttf' in '/home/.wine/drive_c/windows/fonts' folder
