This might sound like a stupid question to the experienced.

Hello,
In a previous thread, I asked if there is really anything I should know on before I install. I had borrowed a copy of Slack from a friend. I lost that copy. Now that I have lost it, I have no means of installing Slackware but except downloading it. Unfortunatly, with my limited knowledge, I do not know how to download Slackware from FTP and then burn it on a CD. Can anyone tell me the process of how to do this. ANY kind of reply will be greatly appreciated.

go here and download version 9.0 (663MB).

on the left in the box that says "helpful stuff" you'll see some links to an ISO image FAQ and to instructions on how to burn and verify ISOs. that should be all you need to get going, but if after all that you need more help ask again. gl
