Did you select that the file should be handled as a disk image or did you just burn the file to disc? You should be treating it as a disc image. If you tell us what program you use to burn, we can probably tell you how to burn a disc image in that program.

Mark.

Oh I see that you can download the image not as an .iso.. then I can't help... If it was me I would have downloaded the iso!
i was download this ""slackware-9.1-install-d1.iso"" then i use 'daemon' to make a virtual drive and mount the file ""slackware-9.1-install-d1.iso"", then i use nero and make a copy disk from the virtual cdrom drive to a empty CD
i'm new in linux,, ok... ok... absolutely new in linux but in wondows eejej easy cake !! so... before i install redhat i ws download the iso file and it work but with slackware i can't do it!!
well.. i check the site http://linuxiso.org/distro.php?distro=17 and i see the same files, the CD#1 and CD#2 BUT.. what is the file "slackware-9.1-install-d1.iso.md5"
There should be an option in nero to burn from a disk image (at least there is in roxio). Try using that. Simply copying files from the image to the disk won't make the disk bootable.
