SystemBS-D

Given the heated discussion on this forum in regard to, ugh, systemd,
I thought you might find this to be of interest:

Keep in mind today's date.

At least this one can easily be consulted and browsed with links or lynx, so it's way more accessible to blind people than LQ

And that certainly needed a lot of work, so congrats to the people who provided it

Yeah, I found myself actually prefering the joke gentoo site to the normal one, and judging by some of the comments on reddit, so did a lot of other folk.

P.S. Anyone been to kernel.org today?

kernel.org redirects to https://imasheep.hurrdurr.org/

It appears to be the entire kernel.org, with the exception of the top banner which reads "The Hurr Durr Archives"

It seems to be a prank based on a git comment made by Linus: https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/ke...b3931deccff539

Wow, that one's great! They even captured the way BBS screens would be drawn a line a a time, from the top down.

Hahahahahaha!!!!

To actually be honest... Gentoo's website looks awesome! Damn the nerd in me!!!

Quote:
The second phase of the project to get Gentoo Linux to a wider user base will involve the creation of floppy disk sets containing a compact version of the operating system and a selection of software essentials. It is estimated that sets could be created using less than 700 disks each and sponsorship is currently being sought. The launch of Gentoo Disk can be expected in about a year.

For those who've not seen it, Google lets you play Pac-Man in your own neighborhood. You can also practice your mirror-reading

Nice finds.

MS-DOS Mobile 1.0 comes with an awesome game called RPS.EXE.

And and just for a laugh... if you have a Lumia and run command... "Internet" for some throwback and a good laugh.

Oh and lastly... run "win.com". I won't spoil this for people who don't have a Windows Phone.
