Hi,

I use ntp for date & time sync with a pool provider. Check my /etc/cron.hourly/time_amos;

Code:
amos:~#cat /etc/cron.hourly/time_amos

#!/bin/sh
#10-09-06 08:30 gws
#update time on amos via time.mtco.com
#
#11-06-06 gws

/usr/sbin/ntpdate -v 0.us.pool.ntp.org ntp-1.mcs.anl.gov ntp-2.mcs.anl.gov &&hwclock --systohc
#/usr/sbin/netdate time.mtco.com && /sbin/hwclock --systohc
By setting up a cron job, you will insure the update.

You don't necessarily need to build a cronjob to regularly check for the correct time. You can also use ntpd to do it for you automatically, assuming you are not on a dial-up connection (which I am guessing is the case, if you are trying to sync ten machines). The configuration file /etc/ntpd.conf is pretty well commented. You can sync one machine to one of the pool time servers run by ntp.org (See www.ntp.org and click the link for "Server Pool Project") and then sync the other machines to that machine.
