Slow POP3 response / authentication ?

Hi,

I have my own slackware 11 running Qmail POP3/SMTP server.

When i try to retriew my mail from my mailprogram ( Thunderbird or Outlook ) i thing the authentication is to slow.. about 15 - 25 sec.

Anyone else having the same problem ?

And do you have a solution for this ?

Have i nice day.

very often this is down to reverse dns lookups. check your dns services and try to do your own reverse lookups from the server using the host command.
