PS: Interesting now being able to place a voice to Lysanders written words.
It's often weird putting the two together, especially since we tend to read others' words in our own voice. Stranger still can be putting someone's face to a voice. As somebody said to me many years ago when meeting after a phone conversation, "you don't look how you sound". We probably build up mental images of people more than we realise.

We all know, English accents make everything more awesome - why do you think some villains tend to have an English accent mostly, vs any other, same for heroes. It is distinguished,
I loved it! TYVM SlackJeff, and a special congratulations to Lysander, since I'm unfortunately considerably less than multi-lingual. The video is well done as is the voiceover which fits nicely and is very well articulated. GJ guys!

I'm not a Slackware user myself (but hopefully I can give it go one day), but just watched the doco (I've been meaning to for a while now, just got around to it), and I thought it was really informative. So I can say I'm now "more informed" about Slackware. Nice work slackjeff, and if I'm right in thinking Lysander666 done the English voiceover, great job Lysander666 too!

Just want to encourage you to try out Alien Bob's (Eric's) liveslak. Please do use USB since for some reason Optical is painfully slow even on a potent modern box but the USB load time is very decent and has persistence as well. It is not like any other Live Distro. It is a fully functional install w/o any commitment or install time. Plus there are several WM/DEs to choose from so you should feel right at home and get any or most obstacles out of the way to really just feel how it works for you. It is an excellent accomplishment and a major contribution by Eric and that's saying a lot since he contributes so much good stuff (no slight intended to the other 4 or 5 major contributors who I'm certain all recognize the degree of Eric's work record).
If you've followed hazel's recent migration you know she has longterm computer experience and came from Debian and even LFS. By the sheer paucity of her concerns and problems as well as generally high praise it should be a no-brainer to conclude it's at least worth a shot since she came from both extremes. You won't regret the attempt and success is all but guaranteed.

I had a look at Alien Bob's site, and I've bookmarked the page with his instructions about creating a "liveslak" USB. So I'll download the ISO and take it for a test drive. Thanks enorbet.
Thanks for the video and translation. I've finally had a listen and it spurred me on to take the advice above re Liveslack. (Things are moving slowly in the pasty kitchen lately. ) Dang but it's slick, it reminds me of the good old days when I still enjoyed distro-hopping!
