Slackware 9.1 - usb_control timeout

Hello

I am using Slackware 9.1 and most of the time, during booting, a message is shown saying:

usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout

This message is shown for a long time and then system boots ok. Question: is there a fix to it?

Thanks,

Thanks for your post... The only device which is attached to my USB port is
a HP LaserJet 1000 that remains unplugged from source power all the time. By the way, this printer only works fine with Linux Mandrake because of a tricky solution. After installation, when system recognizes my printer, there is a warning about HP LaserJet 1000 and Linux. I should put SIHP1000.IMG into /etc/printer and let this driver be loaded, keeping the printer power on. I don't know how to do the same with Slackware and maybe this is the reason I am getting such USB_control/bulk_msg: timeout error message.

My keyboard and mouse are PS2 attached.

Thanks,
