Slack 9.1 can not find hard drive but 9.0 did

I used to be able to mount /dev/hdg fine under 9.0. Now in 9.1 I get 'mount: /dev/hdg is not a valid block device'.
Also on boot it does not seem to pick it up. This is also the only drive connected to the onboard raid controller (raid ata133)

9.1 wouldn't recognize my onboard promise raid controller. (Which I'm using as regular IDE ports) So I just installed 9.0 and upgraded.

I just stuck with 9.1 and downgraded the kernel to 2.4.20 which seems to read it fine.

I was also just using it as another ide controller.
