Cannot find hard drive error

I have Dell computer that has a whole empty second hard drive I was going to install Red Hat 9 on but when I started to boot it says that no hard drive can be found and then gives me list of drivers to select from and I have no idea which one to choose and I want to make sure I don't delete my primary drives contents what should I do?

If you use windows, does it tell oyu that the second drive is an NTFS format drive? Try reformatting it into a FAT drive if it does. You will lose everything on the area that you reformat.

Your primary drive is probably dev/hda and its offspring. Double check. Can you get an idea from the sizes of the partitions shown as to which one has Windows?
