Shutdown options from KDE

When I go to shutdown/restart my computer from KDE it doesn't offer this option only "end current session". When I boot init3 this is what happens, but when I boot into init4 (kdm) it shows all the options to "Shutdown/Restart/End Session" the computer. Are the shutdown options controlled differently when using different init levels. Is their a way to add the different shutdown option when i'm not booting into init4?

Yes, KDE controls it through KDM. For example Xfce handles it in a different way: it asks(okay, used to ask before the introduction of HAL/dbus in Slackware) for adding shutdown app to /etc/sudoers file.
