Setting default terminal emulator

Hello all, another somewhat newbie question - how can I set the default terminal emulator in Slackware 14.2? On Debian I would do update-alternatives --config x-terminal-emul however I am not sure how to go about this under Slackware. Any advice is appreciated, cheers.

Not really sure what you mean by 'default terminal', I just pin Xfce terminal to the taskbar.

What DE are you using? It's possible to do it through the settings in Xfce.

Settings > preferred applications > utilities

Depends on what desktop you are using. You can always fix the desktop menu to put up the terminal of your choice.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction - ended up having to install kdebase-workspace to access kde's systemsettings.
