I have posted a link some weeks ago for OpenStreetMap OVERPASS installation guide for slackware. The dispatcher server cannot run as root, so I created its own user and group with an arbitrary id's; just like was done in the postgreSQL slackbuild script. The question is what are the rules to choose those id's? What standard(s) do I need to conform to? Now I know those ids should not be high numbers like I did.
and if you'd like to request the next available uid/gid, you can do so here or email the SBo devel list or even email me directly if that's preferable.
I would very much appreciate your recommendation in this, so please consider this as a request for gid/uid for the OSM overpass group/user to be added to Slackware.
And please if you have any question, just let me know.
Thank you very much

Reason: added a note about any question.
For the sake of clarity, this doesn't add the user/group to anything except for the linked document.
We're just trying to avoid uid/gid collisions when installing software.
