Still want to repeat this request - just to at least have it considered.

In the install menu - there is expert and menu which per the description are pretty much the same. Maybe have the output then changed on either menu or expert to a 'terse' output, at least - or just remove menu since overall it is redundant.

Openssl 1.1.1 in to Slackware 14.2.

OpenSSL 1.0.2 is EOL leaving servers running Slackware 14.2 no more PCI compliant .

man-pages 5.05 released

On a related nit:

Do we want these in usr/man/?
CONTRIBUTING
Changes
POSIX-COPYRIGHT
README
man-pages-5.04.Announce
man-pages-5.04.lsm

Sure, they're not hurting anything; on the other-hand, we can scatter
these types of files all over the system and it won't 'hurt' anything.

It could be argued that it's wrong to put them there, because they only
apply to 10% of the files 2478/24517.

Shouldn't they really be in the traditional location?:
$PKG/usr/doc/$PKGNAM-$VERSION

Note: POSIX-COPYRIGHT has an existing copy line:
man-pages.SlackBuild:63:
cp man-pages-posix-2013-a/POSIX-COPYRIGHT $PKG/usr/man

Here is another man page related fix.
__________________________________________________
libksba.SlackBuild:103
Code:
find $PKG/usr/man -type -f -exec gzip -9 {} \+
find: Unknown argument to -type: -
Should be '-type f', but there are no man pages in this package anyway.
So you could just remove or comment this line.

Now would be a good time to add KDE5.

I just noticed that Consolekit2 (ck-launch-session) now creates a tmpfs filesystem and sets XDG_RUNTIME_DIR to point to it as follows:
Code:
none /var/run/user/9999 tmpfs rw,relatime,size=102400k,mode=700,uid=9999 0 0
Also, it doesn't appear one can override the location by setting the env var in xinitrc/xsession before the ck-launch.

I'm not keen on the fact its creating mountpoints automatically, but I guess that's the way things are going in this new-fangled systemd corrupted world of ours and I'll just have to get used to the idea of having less control, but if we must have this mountpoint, I'd prefer these mounts shoved out of the way under /run with the rest of freedesktop.org crap. It just seems tidier that way. Does anyone else have an opinion on this one?

mate-1.24

Mate 1.24 has been released two days ago. I will try to build it today. Maybe Willy will be faster?

i have it build here, but unfortunately i can't provide mate-power-manager 1.24.0 as it requires newer upower as it's core dependency. I will provide binaries when newer upower comes out and that's probably the day when Plasma 5 is included in -current.

master branch in git has been updated to 1.24.x already
