removing sources...

say if you un-tar the sources... ./configure;make;make install and it installs everything... the program works fine... and the source directory is zipped up and burned on to a CD... and when ever its needed to unintall the programs installed from souce... if the zipped file on the CD is unzipped and the command 'make uninstall' is given will it uninstall the program fully?

I'm sure it depends on how the program is made. I would think some might call on the original Makefile used that was created during ./configure, etc. Unless your zipping up the original directory you compiled from to save to disk, etc, then it most likely would always work, etc.
