Software Sources Manager, how to add installation cd sources after deletion

I deleted all three cd sources in the "Software Sources Manager". I assumed this would not be a problem as I have nearly identical installation on my laptop, and would just recreate them on my pc by copying their name, url and relative path from my laptop. I now have the three cd's listed on the pc but they are not and will not enable. When first created when I hit update I get message that they cannot be. If there is a solution short of reinstalling OS please let me know.
