pkgtool fails

I used pkgtool to remove several packages. I made a mistake. I need to re-install one of them, but when I run pkgtool it just terminates without doing anything. Is there another way I can install the package from the Slackware CD?

Yes using installpkg (read: man installpkg in case of doubts).

Unless the mistake was removing glibc, or something. Then you'll have to replace it by booting from the recovery cd and running pkgtool from there.
