Pan Will not start

I have installed pan multiple times. each time it installs fine. i have checked the libs i need, but whenever i start pan i still get errors.

/usr/bin/pan: error while loading shared libraries: libgnet-1.1.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

The Pan page says gnet 2.0 or higher required i have gnet 2.0.4

yet i am still getting libgnet errors.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have searched every thread with pan in it, none of the results have answered my questions.

Yep, but pan seems to search for an older version, so there is 3 way to go.

1, Grab Pan source and roll your own,
2, Grab a tgz packet at http://www.linuxpackages.net/
3, make a symlink of libgnet-1.1.so.0 to libgnet-2.0.so
