Opera and Fluxbox...

So I am trying to get Opera to work with Fluxbox on Slackware and Im having a bit of trouble getting the app to launch. Ive edited the menu file in Flux to look like this:

[exec] (Opera) {/home/me/opera-8.02-XXX-shared-qt.en/./opera}

When I click the Opera link in the menu absolutely nothing happens. No HD activity at all, and no Opera popping up to greet me. I also tried sym linking the executable in /usr/local/bin and still no joy.

Any suggestions are greatly apprieciated so thanks in advance.

How did that period slip in there, how do you invoke it
from a commandline?

Cheers,
Tink

I assume that the "/home/me/opera-8.02-XXX-shared-qt.en/./opera" works from just a terminal? Because if it doesn't then obviously there's something wrong. Otherwise, I would suggest doing something like "ln -s /home/joel/opera-8.02-XXX-shared-tq.en/opera /usr/bin" then just changing the line in your fluxbox menu to be just "[exec] (Opera) {opera}". I think that would take care of it. Hopefully.
