OpenSSH version mismatch (current)

After an update of one of my Slack boxes to current, tools from openssh package stopped working due to version mismatch with installed openssl (0.9.7 vs 0.9.8). I couldn't trust Pat would make a such mistake to forget recompile rightly openssh after openssl update so I checked another mirror and the same package differs !! I have to do further explorations but it's sure executables differ at sizes and timestamps. What calms me down pgp signature checks are ok. Maybe Pat really compiled openssh against wrong version of openssl but soon he realized his mistake and updated immediately correct package but on some of ftp mirrors it didn't get replaced.
I have to mention the different package was downloaded from official mirror at ftp.heanet.ie.

Does have anybobody else some similar experience ?

I recently had the same problem, and I reinstalled one of the two packages (can't remember which right now) and all was fine. Strange thing is, it only happened on one of my boxes running current; the other was fine.

Got that too after I downloaded and upgraded OpenSSH from the link in the last security advisory, the one in slackware-current. I fixed it by removing the package, reinstalling the original OpenSSH package that was included with my Slackware version (10.0), and then upgrading using the updated package for 10.0.
