Online Netflix movies

I just joined Netflix and would like to take advantage of being able to watch some of their movies online. My browser is Firefox and works fine in every area of their site except trying to watch a movie online. Then it redirects me to a page saying I need IE to watch the movie. I don't want to boot into Win just to watch movies in Linux...can I use mplayer for this or is there a Firefox extension I could use?

There is probably a way to do it in just firefox, but as I don't use netflix I have no idea what it might be. The quick and dirty way to do this would be to use IE with wine. Maybe someone else has a more elegant solution for you, but that's how I'd do it. It would be quick, and you wouldn't have to reboot.

Good luck...

You have 2 options (if you don't want to boot to Windows, that is): install a user agent switcher plugin for Firefox to fool the site into thinking you are on IE or install ies4linux, which will run IE under Linux for you.

Oh, you could also run Windows in a virtual environment (VMWare, etc) but that may give you graphics lags.
