NVIDIA Driver 1.0-5328

I loaded the new nvidia driver 1.0-5328 recently, and when I ran 'init 4' or 'startx' all I got was a black screen. I uninstalled that and went back to 4496. I read in another recent post that some had installed it and it worked except it was buggy. But I'm getting nothing except a black screen and don't know why. Anybody got any ideas?? I looked over my xf86config file and made sure I did what the readme file said to do.

Well, look at the /var/log/xfree86.0.log file and see if any errors show while X was trying to load..........
