Hi,
I 've installed recently Slackware 10.1 linux with 2.6.10 kernel. Evrything was fine before I 've installed xchat-system-integration plugin for xchat. Suddently all of my icons lost their images. Then I removed this package and rebooted the machine and suddenly the real problem arised.
I cannot login as a normal user eventhough I can as root. The error it's saying is:

-bash : id : command not found.

This error message keep coming all times whenever I am logging in as normal user. I don't know what happened to my installation which took me several hours to configure everything.

Anyone please help me regain my system back.

Try reinstall coreutils package as it provides /usr/bin/id
