Long story short (I already have things setup so that it will go into Runlevel 4 and load the GUI when I hit [ENTER]) how do I get LILO to bypass the BOOT: prompt?
Actually you should comment the line that says "prompt" (as you say you did) in /etc/lilo.conf and you won't receive a prompt. If you just set the timeout to 0, you will still get the prompt but it won't have a countdown timer.
After you make changes to /etc/lilo.conf you must run "lilo" as root to write them.

I ran LILO from command prompt (I had been clicking on the icon), the command prompt version gave me some errors that the icon version had not, errors have been corrected Linux loads the way I want it to right to the KDE login.
That solves that problem, thanks for the info!
Next question...
When the KDE login appears it says "Welcome to Linux at linux" at the very top of the window, how can I change this to something else? I'm assuming that that it is stored in a config file somewhere.
