ndiswrapper (import:242): unknown symbol: ntoskrnl.exe:'RtlExtendedIntegerMultiply'
ndiswrapper (import:242): unknown symbol: ntoskrnl.exe:'MmGetSystemRoutineAddress'
ndiswrapper (load_sys_files:206): couldn't prepare driver 'rt2870'
ndiswrapper (load_wrap_driver:108): couldn't load driver rt2870; check system log for messages from 'loadndisdriver'

ndiswrapper rt2870 problems

If all else fails you could upgrade to kernel 2.6.31, which includes a driver for the rt2870 chip. I'm using the rt61pci driver from the kernel and it seems OK.

I've never upgraded a kernel before, but I guess I'll have to if I can't get anything else to work.

I did download the linux driver first, but I don't know how to configure the install. I haven't been using Linux for more than two months so I'm still new to most things. I'm pretty sure I got stuck on the SRC= path or something like that.

The driver included in 2.6.31 works well with rt2870.
Here's good instructions on building the kernel yourself, I guess you can skip the 'make initrd'-part of it.

You can find the driver you're looking for from Device Drivers->Network device support->Wireless LAN->Ralink driver support->Ralink rt2800 (USB) support.

I've done more homework, and I guess that the wusb600n v2 won't work with these drivers. I guess I'll be stuck on Windows for the time being
