Missing borders on Compiz

Running Slackware 12.2 with Xfce 4.4.3 with stock compiz 0.7.8

Followed the tutorial located here - http://slackwiki.org/Compiz
But upon launching no window borders are visible

Also gtk-window-decoration says
Code:

however, pixmaps only have colormap by default if they
were created with a non-NULL window argument. Otherwise
a colormap must be set on them with gdk_drawable_set_colormap

I would strongly advise you use the compiz packages on slackbuilds.org.

In that case I'll stick to the xfwm4 built in compositor.
