MBR and lilo problems

Hi Peoples

I have just installed slackware 10, however, when i told lilo to put itself on the mbr, for some reason it died. And, because I have done the install before without troubles i neglected to make myself a boot disk.

When i boot, it comes up with "Press to Reboot". Now im not sure if thats the corrupt mbr, my confused previous windows mbr, or a partial lilo mbr.

In any case, does anyone know how to fix this sort of problem? or where to get a boot disk image?

all help greatly appreciated

just boot from the cd with bare.i root=/dev/hda1 noinitrd ro

run cfdisk and make partition bootable, toggle on/off then run liloconfig again.

Hope this helps

cheers!
