Question Logging in to KDE

After installing Slackware 12, what should I do so that I can log into and log out of KDE without having to go to terminal and type 'startx'?

you need to change the default run level in /etc/inittab from 3 to 4

change /etc/inittab from:
Code:
# Default runlevel. (Do not set to 0 or 6)
id:3:initdefault:
to:
Code:
# Default runlevel. (Do not set to 0 or 6)
id:4:initdefault:
you'll have to be root to change it.
