I've got 2 computers, Slackware and BSD next to eachother, and I've got one monitor, so currently I have to get up and switch the VGA cord from one to the other (haven't gotten a KVX yet) For some reason, while in BSD, actually at anytime, but notably when I'm using BSD because I'm not looking at it and Can't see what's going on, X locks up when someone's logged in.
It can stay in GDM for days and even months, but when someone's logged in, it seems like it likes to lock up, Usually after about 30 mins of no usage. It doesn't just freeze what's on the screen though, it basically goes "dead". Fans are on, and that's about all, can't log in via ssh or ftp, can't get the numlock light to light up, it's just 'out'.
What could cause this problem? The BSD box runs fine, screen gets a bit funky after a whilie but it'll wake right back up, why doesn't slackware do this?
Using X.org on an Nvidia Riva video card 8MB video RAM(

Running on a PIII at 927 MHz with 128 Megs of System Ram
Not running apmd or acpi running a 2.4 kernel.
-Thanks in advance.
